Renewed Georgia Flooding

A report from Bill Flannagan, Stated Supply at Trion EPC, Trion, GA:

As many of you know our little country church in Trion (Trion EPC ) was flooded during the end of September flood waters that enundated Trion, Ga.....We had over 10' of water in our lower level classroom...all the furniture had to be thrown away because of contamination. The furnace, AC, water heater and power boxes had to be replaced. Things were just drying out and last night we were flooded again by about 4-5' of water. One of my elders, Charles Frady, has worked like a trojan using pumps to get the water out....the cause is rapidly rising rivers and creeks and field drains that get stopped up with trash and causing the water to back up....Charles and I are planning on having an Heat&AC man give an estimate of moving all the electrical services, furnace, AC and power boxes and duct work up to the second floor...First Presbyterian Church, Rome, has been kind enough to establish an emergency fund to assist us with the recovery cost.....We are still having Sunday School and Worship on the second floor and sanctuary every Sunday...Our 25-30 members remain faithful....thankful "in" all things but certainly not "for" all things
